Before I ever filmed a wedding, I learned to pay attention.
To people. To places. To the small moments that eventually become the memories we keep.
01 — ROOTS
I grew up learning that home can exist in more than one place.
When I was seven, my family moved to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Growing up in a missionary family introduced me to different people, cultures, and ways of seeing the world. It taught me to look beyond the surface, to feel comfortable wherever I am, and to recognize how quickly life can change. My faith continues to guide the purpose behind what I create. That is why voices, relationships, and seemingly ordinary moments matter so much to me. Someday, they may be the parts we would give anything to experience again.
02 — GOING ALL IN
My first wedding was also the first wedding I had ever attended.
At sixteen, I saved nearly everything I had to buy my first real camera. I believed filmmaking was what I was being called to pursue, so I went all in. My first wedding was also the first wedding I had ever attended—and that day, I discovered something that brought together everything I cared about: people, atmosphere, travel, emotion, and cinematic storytelling. I reinvested everything I earned and began building the business I’m still giving everything to today.
03 — DIRECTION
The expected path was never automatically the right one for me.
I was accepted into my dream film school with a $30,000 scholarship, but I chose a gap year and spent a month in Bali instead. Living somewhere unfamiliar reminded me that the most meaningful stories are shaped by people, places, and experiences—not formulas. I returned home ready to build a life around filmmaking and bring that same curiosity, intention, and sense of place into every wedding I document.
04 — PRESENCE
By the time your wedding arrives, I want to feel less like a vendor—and more like a friend you trust.
I take the time to understand who you are, who matters most, and what makes your relationship yours. On the wedding day, I stay calm and unobtrusive when moments should unfold naturally, while offering guidance whenever you need it.
I’m always watching for the laughter outside the frame, the voices you’ll want to hear again, and the moments you didn’t even realize were happening.
Your wedding will never happen exactly this way again.
The flowers will disappear. The room will empty. Years from now, certain voices may sound different—or no longer be there at all. Your film keeps more than the way everything looked. It preserves the people, movement, sound, atmosphere, and feeling of being there.
